2009 TCB Year In Review

TCB takes great pride in creating a positive environment where community members can come together and have fun. Donations help fund TCB’s community events such as the May Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and Back to School Picnic. Our hope is that these events become a staple in Southern Maryland like stuffed ham or the County Fair. With your help we can make these and other events bigger and better every year. 2010 Kepferle Scholarship Form

The Pat Kepferle Friendship Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award of at least $1000 for the first year of college. The scholarship will be awarded to a Saint Mary’s County, MD, high school student who has been accepted by an accredited college or university as a full-time student. The recipient must demonstrate personal characteristics that reflect Pat’s caring for others, his dedication to his friends, and his determination to overcome all obstacles in order to achieve success in a university environment. + 2010 Kepferle Scholarship Form

Outreach Program Request Form

We are looking for other nonprofit youth organizations in good standing that have an impact on community youth through sports, arts, leadership, mentoring or counseling programs. Our organization is continuously assessing our community needs. If you would like to obtain assistance from TCB and join our Outreach Program, please fill out the Outreach Program Request Form and provide a written solicitation to include:

There is no required length of your solicitation, feel free to provide a couple of sentences per topic. In addition to the letter, we will also accept any brochures or other literature published about your organization. The request packet can be sent to outreach@thetcb.org or:

2009 Epicurean Event

The Annual Epicurean Event will be held on 2 October at Blue Wind Gourmet. This is TCB’s largest fundraiser and social event that is open to young adults, adults, leaders, and local businesses of the community. A sampling of gourmet hors d’oeuvres with fine wines and beers paired by Rob Plant will be served. This event would not be complete without the Live Auction by TCB’s own auctioneer, Alex David. 3rd Annual Back to School Picnic

TCB is hosting a day of fun for the community at Nicolet Park on 7 August from noon to 3pm. FREE school supplies will be provided to children in attendance, along with food, games, and admission to the splash park. By providing school supplies for the upcoming year, TCB hopes to alleviate some of the ever-growing expenses families face every fall. All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend and/or volunteer for what is sure to be a cool day in the hot summer.
