TCB PROMOTES the BRYANT DENT FOUNDATION
The Bryant Dent Foundation is a newly founded Southern Maryland nonprofit formed for the purpose of providing the necessary resources for quadriplegics, paraplegics, and otherwise handicapped persons to foster independence from caregivers on a daily basis and further enhance their ability to live a productive life. The foundation’s namesake, Bryant Dent, is a Chopticon High School graduate who, at the age of 19, suffered serious injuries in a car accident. His injuries left him completely paralyzed from the shoulders down. Now, at the age of 37, Bryant has been a quadriplegic for the past 18 years. The initial purpose of this foundation, started by Kathleen and Kevin Norris & Bryant Dent, is to first help Bryant and then others like him in the Southern Maryland area. The Norris family has consistently supported TCB and our May Madness Tournament, as players and volunteers, since it’s inception. TCB is happy and eager to help promote their foundation with a common purpose of helping people in our Southern Maryland community. Please visit their website and view the recent article posted on somdnews.com. The Bryant Dent Foundation is holding it’s first silent auction, dinner, and comedy show fundraiser on 20 March at the Hollywood Fire Department. Please visit their website for more information on the event and to purchase tickets.
WHO WE ARE
Tap’s Community Brotherhood is a nonprofit organization established in April 2006 in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. We have come together to create a national charitable organization that promotes the memory and spirit of Joseph “Pat” Kepferle by encouraging participation in youth activities and community volunteerism throughout the country. With this in mind we have decided to begin our mission in our hometown. We are united to foster community growth by being a living example of brotherhood.
ACTIVITIES
One of our main concerns as an organization is the need for more youth oriented community activities. We believe these activities to be essential to positive growth and development of today’s youth. It is our goal to create an environment that promotes the positive development of the individual as well as the group.
WHAT WE DO
TCB supports other nonprofit youth organizations in good standing that have an impact on community youth through sports, arts, leadership, mentor or counseling programs.
